hot or not?

I have to say I am on the fence with this issue, sometimes a bag looks great with a wooden handle, but sometimes it looks ridiculous! I don't know what it is, but every time I see a lady walking around with a wooden handled purse with colorful Hawaiian print all over it, my mind starts to wander. I start to think of the time when she had bought that purse either on super clearance at a department store and on the whim while on vacation at a tropical location. In no way do I consider these walking tropical billboards held together with fake bamboo handles fashionable. Don't get caught in this fashion fail! Here are a few examples of what I DONT think is fashionable and then one that is. But in the end I suppose it all comes down to interpretation, how do you define fashion?

Hmmm that's attractive, I don't know maybe it's the pink crochet? Or no definitely the sewed on sequins that really makes it scream fashion!

Hey, look I get to choose between two very chic patterns, hibiscus 1 or 2?

Ooh sophistication just seeps through those seams!
